My name is Holly Merton, artist of all things you will find on this website. Though young (I'm presently 25), I have had my hands in arts & crafts for as long as memory serves me. There is nothing I enjoy more that the act of creating. To create is the purpose of my soul. I am privileged to be able to share my art (and a little piece of my soul) with others.
I have a deep love of nature and animals. I grew up with both being a large part of my life. They have been instrumental in shaping and defining me as an individual. My job throughout school was working with animals in rescue and as a veterinary technician. In fact, for most of my childhood, I thought I was going to be a vet. It was only after realizing I would need to give up much of my creative self to pursue that career that I began to search elsewhere. I decided to make a job for myself that included animals, nature AND art.
I decided to pursue art and now have a degree in photography. I am self-taught in all other art forms. I am presently the manager of the first bead store to open in North Florida, Gifts of Avalon. I am also a music student at the Unoveristy of Florida, fulfilling a deep personal desire to understand music and why it is such a powerful force.
I am constantly driven to learn and try new things. Life is about experiencing and being a part of something beautiful. I choose to MAKE beauty for a living. Thank you for helping to support this addiction of mine.
